Why we exist

Brighter by Design exists to help organisations see inclusion not as an add-on, but as the foundation of every welcoming space. We believe every mind deserves to feel at home - and that small, thoughtful adaptations can make a big difference.

Our work bridges policy and real life, turning accessibility frameworks into everyday inclusion. We work alongside existing access teams to make inclusion more practical.

Our work is shaped by lived experience. As a parent navigating the world with a neurodivergent child and family, I saw first-hand how much both spaces and attitudes can include or exclude. Brighter by Design was created to change that, by helping organisations adapt environments, build understanding, and grow confidence through practical guidance, sensory-friendly strategies, and ongoing support.

But more importantly, every conversation and idea about inclusion can be explored without judgement - because real change begins with openness, curiosity, and care. You don’t have to be afraid of getting it wrong; together, we can help shape every idea so you can get it right.

Emily Dravnieks
Founder,

I’m Emily Dravnieks, the founder of Brighter by Design - Inclusion Matters. My background spans movement, inclusive wellbeing, and digital communication - but at the heart of it all is people. I believe inclusion starts with listening and small, thoughtful actions that make daily life easier for everyone.

I bring lived experience, professional insight, and a calm, practical approach to every project — helping organisations build confidence, ask questions freely, and find realistic ways to make their environments and culture more inclusive.
